Assertiveness Lunch & Learn Delegate Pack - Asserive Rights
Many people have difficulty behaving assertively, tending towards either passive behaviour or aggressiion. This is probably because passive (non-assertive) behaviour and aggression are more instinctive and offer immediate 'rewards'. When face-to-face with a sare-toothed tiger, our distant ancestors had two options - they could either stand and fight, or run for their lives! Assertive behaviour is less instinctive, and to be assertive, you have to accept a number of rights.
