This workshop on Coaching Effectiveness has been designed to help an organisation develop the coaching skills of its workforce. It can be used as part of the organisation's overall employee training, or used to develop those individuals who have strong coaching ability so that they can move into positions of greater responsibility. It is also flexible enough to be used at all levels in the organisation, because it deals with the skills and characteristics considered necessary for effective coaching in any work or social setting.
The Coaching Effectiveness Workshop is set up to be delivered over a 16-hour or 2-day interactive workshop session. However, the agenda we provide here is only a guide: You can adjust the sessions to suit your particular needs, adding to or eliminating portions, or customising parts of it for a specific training group. A two-day programme can easily be expanded to three days or even spread out over several half-day sessions.
The Instructor’s Guide contains all an instructor needs to conduct a workshop
• introductory notes
• a suggested timetable
• background notes
• trainer’s checklist
• course notes
• action planning and evaluation forms
• CD with PowerPoint slide masters.
Preparing to Lead the Workshop
Instructor preparation is a critical part of the results you will achieve from the workshop. Before the workshop is scheduled to begin, review all the suggestions for conducting the workshop and familiarise yourself with the materials and background information for each session.
